Communication assessment and setting effective AAC goals

Strengthen your professional judgement to assess communication skills and design achievable goals, from emerging communication to communicative autonomy.

This course is aimed at professionals involved in providing communication resources to users of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems.

The course focuses on two key moments in the process: communication assessment and the design of treatment goals, to help professionals make decisions better suited to each person’s communication needs.

The course covers everything from emerging communication to communicative autonomy, providing criteria to identify skills, needs and intervention priorities.

From assessment to communication goals

The work is based on real cases from daily neurorehabilitation practice, combined with scientific evidence and up-to-date literature.

Through these cases, participants will explore how to assess communication, prioritise needs and define achievable goals in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

A course designed to strengthen professional judgement throughout the assessment and planning process, with the aim of fostering increasingly functional and autonomous communication.
