The Aula Docent of Fundació Aspace Catalunya
Aula Docent is the teaching initiative of Fundació Aspace Catalunya. The Teaching Committee drives internal and external training, develops and structures specialised knowledge and disseminates it to improve the quality of care and education for people with complex neurodevelopmental disorders, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities.
Over 60 years of experience
Alongside people with complex neurodevelopmental disorders, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities
Expert knowledge, committed outreach
The Teaching Committee is part of the Strategic Plan of Fundació Aspace Catalunya. It develops, structures and disseminates the specialised knowledge built up over more than sixty years of caring for people with complex neurodevelopmental disorders, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities, and turns it into training that is useful for daily practice.
Our commitment to sharing knowledge is essential to building a better-informed and more empathetic understanding of these conditions, working towards a more inclusive and equal environment for everyone.
- Internal and external training coordinated by the Foundation
- Leading clinical teams in complex neurodevelopmental disorders, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities
- In-person and online formats, with practical activities
How Fundació Aspace Catalunya works
Six principles that guide the Foundation’s daily practice and, by extension, Aula Docent’s training programme
Mission
To develop, structure and disseminate the specialised knowledge of Fundació Aspace Catalunya in order to improve the quality of care and education for people with complex neurodevelopmental disorders, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities.
Vision
To be a benchmark in specialised training in high complexity, with a comprehensive care model — health, social and educational — that transforms professional practice and contributes to a more inclusive and equal society.
We care for people
We put each person with complex neurodevelopmental disorders, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities, and their family, at the centre of everything we do, with support that respects their life project.
Professional talent and human quality
We bring together expert teams that combine technical rigour, sensitivity and vocation to offer specialised care of the highest standard.
Comprehensive care model
We deliver a coherent health, social and educational response, designed for high complexity and sustained throughout the life cycle.
Research, innovation and outreach
We drive knowledge, transfer evidence and raise awareness to improve daily practice and society's view of complex neurodevelopmental disorders, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities.
Ethics and sustainability
We are a non-profit organisation that acts with transparency, responsibility and a long-term vision.
Networking
We cooperate with national and international public administrations, hospitals, universities, professional associations and other organisations to build a solid ecosystem at the service of people.
The Committee's three plans
Three complementary lines of action that structure teaching at Fundació Aspace Catalunya
Teaching Plan
We structure the Foundation’s training calendar and promote training activities aimed at updating, specialising and developing our teams professionally.
Train-the-Trainer Plan
We identify in-house talent, assess its viability and prepare it to transfer the Foundation’s expert knowledge to other professionals in the sector.
Outreach Plan
We prepare materials, design the outreach campaign and open enrolment.
